LAMPAS SEA FESTIVAL ABRUPTLY ENDED WITH THE ARRIVAL OF MYSTERIOUS GOLEM "BATALA"
The Sea Festival kicked off with an explosive opening today as guests and island locals were met with a shockwave that rocked the entire city early this afternoon. In the midst of the event, the ominous arrival of an unusual, large stone being resembling a 'golem' had set off the city's alarms. An emergency broadcast by Radio Lampas led to immediate panic and chaos, as people struggled towards the nearest evacuation centers.
The tremors and noises gradually subsided and the island of Lampas returned to its usual business with a new guest wandering its shores. The mysterious entity that had wandered in the midst of the Sea Festival had begun to walk around the city proper, drawing crowds of curious eyes and faithful believers acknowledging its presence as a 'sign of the mother'.
The sentient being is capable of communication with unique bioluminescence on the surface of its main body, with the 'head' presenting as a separate entity. The being identifies itself as "Batala", with a designation of 1 and 2 for the body and head respectively.
Batala was seen first roaming the streets of New Lampas in search of open dialogue with local authorities and leaders. Archduchess Elizabeth Montclair was spotted arriving at the scene in an attempt to exchange words, though it appears no clear conclusion has been made. The golem was also spotted wandering Old Lampas, seemingly interested in communicating with locals and tourists alike in an attempt to spread it's message from 'Mama', or The Mother Kra'a.
According to Batala's words, the mother will 'claim the island in 9 days' if the people of Lampas do not change their ways and return what it has taken from the land and sea.
