BATTLE OF OLD LAMPAS: CITIZENS VICTORIOUS AGAINST THE ABYSS
What began as a peaceful evening in the luxury Beachfront Residences turned into a night of absolute chaos and legendary heroism. In what is already being called the Battle of Old Lampas, a massive, endless swarm of monsters erupted from the surf, only to be beaten back by a united front of local citizens, faction leaders, and the Royal Navy.
The alarms were first raised by wealthy nobles looking out from their Beachfront balconies, who noticed a "highly uncouth" collection of glowing eyes and wet tridents rising from the tide pools. Seamus Stormwave, leader of the Fisheries faction, was immediately alerted. But before any defense plans could be drawn up, the floodgates of the deep burst open, and the horde just started coming.
An emergency alliance was forged on the sand as three key figures took command of the island's defense; Admiral Condoriano led the Royal Navy forces, organizing iron-clad defensive lines and shouting strategic commands (mostly involving checking the monsters' passports). Chancellor Lovemachine, despite still recovering from his highly debated shark bite, marshaled the Lampas Marine Institute (LMI) to defend the shorelines with scientific vigor. Seamus Stormwave rallied the Fisheries faction, directing the low docks volunteers to turn their harpoons and scaling knives against the incoming tide.
Every faction threw its members into the fray to protect the colony. Observers noted the chaotic but highly effective contributions of members of the rat race, who scurried through the melee, flanking enemies and causing general confusion among the monstrous ranks.
The invasion escalated to a critical point when waves of Vindicators, Pillagers, and dark Evokers began summoning vexes over the resort villas. Finally, the sea parted to reveal a colossal nightmare: Karkinos, the legendary giant crab of the deep.
Karkinos tore through the outer defense barricades, its massive claws threatening to flatten the beachfront. It took the combined strength of all factions, the tactical positioning of Admiral Condoriano's iron division, and Chancellor Lovemachine's coordinates to finally crack the titan's shell and send it back to the depths.
Immediately following the successful defense of the beachfront, LMI Chancellor Lovemachine and Royal Navy Admiral Condoriano were caught sharing a firm handshake on the sand. Witnesses report a rare moment of mutual respect between the normally bickering faction leaders. While LMI officials claim they were simply celebrating the victory, the Fisheries Captain remains suspicious that the two are plotting to co-finance a new luxury tax on fishing bait.
